Join local artists and educators on Thursday, May 4 from 4-6p for an evening of science, technology, and art! Visitors of all ages are invited to experiment with hands-on science activities, and create art using technology. Valparaiso University Science Outreach will bring activities to teach everyone the fundamentals of science, while local artist Hannah Hammond-Hagman will be on hand to demonstrate the intersections of electricity and art! Liz Wuerffel, of Valparaiso University’s Art Department, will show how scanners can produce unexpected, interesting art. With scanners, prints of small objects can be created in great detail. Bring an object to scan, or experiment with those provided! This project is made possible by the support of the Indiana Arts Commission, the South Shore Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
