SPRING WATERSHED HIKE AT COFFEE CREEK WATERSHED PRESERVE
Learn about the management of the 157-acre preserve and discover habitats of migrating birds and spring flowers
Enjoy the beauty of the 157-acre Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve on an education hike on May 5th, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Coffee Creek Stewardship Manager, Erica Luchik, will lead guests on a hike through The Watershed Preserve highlighting the flora and fauna of The Watershed Preserve while sharing an overview of the management activities underway in the preserve. A brief presentation will take place before the group takes off on an estimated one-hour hike.
All ages are welcome for Stewardship Saturday's at Coffee Creek. All participants should dress appropriately for the weather. Long sleeves, long pants, and closed toe shoes are recommended. The hike begins at the Pavilion at the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve located at 178 E Sidewalk Road, Chesterton, Indiana.

The mission of the Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy, Inc. is to identify, maintain, and enhance the remnant biodiversity of the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve, while providing educational and recreational experiences for all. The CCWC is an Indiana 501 (c) 3 organization. The non-profit organization owns the 157-acre Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve which hosts over 5 miles of trails, a 3,300 square foot picnic Pavilion, and Chesterton Amphitheater. The Preserve is open to the public 365 days a year.
