The United Way of Porter County is a county-wide effort to address health and human service needs. Our focus is on education, health, and financial stability. They are the building blocks for a good quality of life. Everyone deserves opportunities to have a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job; enough income to support a family; and good health. United Way is one organization that looks at the entire well-being of the Porter County community.
When you give to the United Way, you support a united and planned way to care for local people in need. The United Way brings together many people; donors, volunteers, businesses, unions and agencies to work on solutions to urgent problems like domestic violence, homelessness and poverty. But the United Way does more than raise money! We have programs and initiatives that bring people together to make positive change in our community.
With one gift to the United Way, you support a coordinated network of health and human services through local partner agencies. Your care reaches out to help strengthen families, prepare children, increase self-sufficiency, provide emergency care, help people with disabilities, and assist the elderly.
Money raised here stays here to help local people who really need your help. When you give to the United Way, you choose the best way to give and care for our families, neighbors, and friends most in need throughout Porter County. The United Way is there for people when they need it most, but it cannot be done without you.
