• Cupcakes and Canvas at Westchester Township History Museum on January 2 & 3— Registration required

    Are you looking for something for your kids to do over winter break? Bring them to the
    Westchester Township History Museum for painting fun at the Brown Mansion on Tuesday,
    January 2. Parents may register their child(ren) for one of two painting sessions offered:
    Wednesday, January 2, or Thursday, January 3 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
    Kids ages 6-12 are invited to paint step-by-step with Museum Educator Susan Swarner to create
    a winter-themed masterpiece. No art experience is necessary and all supplies are provided.
    Participants should wear clothes that can get messy. A parent or guardian must accompany each
    child.
    Registration is necessary as each class size is limited to 12 children. Parents may register their
    child(ren) beginning December 12 by visiting the museum or calling 219-983-9715 during
    museum hours.
    Westchester Township History Museum is located in the Brown Mansion at 700 W. Porter Ave.,
    Chesterton. The museum is an educational and cultural service of Westchester Public Library
    and is open to the public free of charge Wednesday-Sunday from 1-5 p.m., or by appointment.
