|THREE OAKS, MI—Journeyman Distillery presents "Comedy on the Rocks," Friday, December 28th at their popular Three Oaks bar and event space.
The evening’s line-up includes two award-winning stand-up comedians. Featured performer, Patrick Fowler, was named "Best in the Fest Pick" at the Mutiny Radio Comedy Festival. Headliner, Adam Degi was a 2014 Comedy 10K semi-finalist and once received a standing ovation from the Harlem Globetrotters. Degi's 2017 debut comedy album, "His Name Is My Name Too," was recorded live in Grand Rapids.
The evening will be hosted by Journeyman's own Maxwell Tidey. The busy Southwest Michigan native has lived in the area for “all of his life,” attending school in Galien/Buchanan and playing Little League in Three Oaks. Tidey says he was inspired by watching stand-up comedy, Chappelle's Show, and joking with family. "For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be an entertainer and have loved making people laugh," he recalls.
Tidey has pursued his passion for comedy producing local shows and working at the Drop Comedy Club in South Bend. That's where he met both Fowler and Degi. The latter, he says, "had me dying when he performed at The Drop last Spring."
"Live entertainment is too rare in this area," Tidey laments. "I look forward to bringing more great shows to Journeyman!"
Comedy on the Rocks will premier on Friday, December 28th at Journeyman Distillery. The show starts at 8:00pm ET. Tickets are $20 and include one beverage. Details and advance sales are available at journeymandistillery.com/events and via Eventbrite. For more information phone 269-820-2050.
