Finding (Me)aning | TAG Showcase at Red Cup Café
February 12–March 25, 2022
Opening Reception:
Saturday, February 12, 10 AM–1 PM
Chesterton Art Center is pleased to announce Finding (Me)aning, a new exhibit of work by artists in our Teen Arts Group. TAG artists explore the topic of ‘Finding (Me)aning’, highlighting the unique connection between the artist and their artwork. While each TAG artist is at a different point in their artistic practice, the group’s collective passion for creating brings them together. This group show is exemplary of the scope of media and techniques that each artist is exploring. Works on display will include painting, drawing, printmaking, and more.
The TAG exhibit at Red Cup Café, 115 Broadway in Chesterton, will run from February 12-March 25. There will be an opening reception from 10 AM-1 PM on Saturday, February 12, to celebrate the artists and their work. We encourage all to stop by and stay awhile. Special thanks to Red Cup Café for making this exhibition happen!
CAC’s Teen Arts Group (TAG) is a free monthly program for passionate teen artists interested in pursuing professional arts experiences and strengthening their own visual art practices. TAG members learn from one another as well as professional artists, explore area and Chicago museums and galleries, and work on individual portfolio development. TAG also offers access to various community engagement and exhibition opportunities. Interested artists can contact programs@chestertonart.org.
