“Shifting Sands: on the Path to Sustainability,” is an hour long documentary that looks at the efforts taken to protect the Lake Michigan shoreline and it’s dune ecosystems among the presence of industry. This film tells the story of pristine habitats and the heavy industry that came together to spark a movement for a national park. This movement led to large changes in environmental policies and serves as a lesson on how partnerships can create a sustainable world. Pat Wisniewski also produced “Everglades of the North: The Story of the Grand Kankakee Marsh,” which was nominated for a Chicago/Midwest Emmy Award in 2013.
