Portage │ On Thursday, September 29, 2022, the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Progressive Dinner with a twist. This year’s theme was Discover Hidden Treasures which led participants on a scavenger hunt throughout the City of Portage. Landmark locations included the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce, Founders Square Amphitheater & Splash Pad, Marina Shores Yacht Club, Portage Lakefront Pavilion, and Country Inn & Suites.
McGowan & Sons: Seafood and Provisions, Albano’s, Bnutty, LLC, and All Soup’d Up were responsible for the delicious appetizers and main course served along the way. Participants finished up the evening with cocktails at Marina Shores Yacht Club. According to Nancy Simpson, Portage Chamber Executive Director, “McGowan & Son’s shrimp cocktails were out of this world” and despite the cool temperatures, each location provided a comfortable atmosphere that everyone enjoyed. “The evening was perfect for our appetizer and dinner stop at the Portage Lakefront Pavilion during sunset, but the highlight for me was the fabulous plated dinner cooked on-site at the pavilion by Albano’s” said Simpson.
The existing Progressive Dinner committee has already begun planning for 2023 and are seeking public participation. If you are interested in participating, please complete the online interest form at https://forms.gle/
