Members receive free publicity via the Chamber's weekly e-newsletter, the "Chamber Express." This publication highlights members' special events, press releases and committee involvement. Discounted Chesterton Tribune advertising, a free listing in the Chamber's annual business directory, discounted Duneland Today advertising, free web site listing, and affordable website banner advertising are also available. Members also have the opportunity to display promotional materials at the monthly meetings and may utilize the Chamber Welcome Sign on Highway 49 for special advertising messages for as little as $50 per week.
Every year the Chamber receives hundreds of requests for names of local businesses, professionals and services. Only Chamber members are referred. Business acquaintances are always anxious to do business in their own community. Consumers are 44% more likely to think favorably about a Chamber member business than a business which is not a Chamber member. 57% are more likely to think positively of a businesses' local reputation and 63% are more likely to shop with that business in the future.
The Chamber offers a vast selection of publications to promote and assist business development in the Duneland area. Included are demographics on populations, housing, an area map and information guides. All publications are available at the Chamber office.
Throughout the year the Chamber offers programs of business education, such as small business enhancement and community building topics of interest for all members.
Through participation in Chamber events and activities, members are able to meet decision makers, make invaluable business contacts and become part of the Duneland business network. The Chamber is also able to provide contacts for local, state and federal officials.
This is a great way for to introduce a business to new residents by offering items such as calendars, pens, magnets, notepads etc. that are delivered to new residents of the community.
Members are cordially invited to meet with community and business leaders on a weekly basis. In addition to the Duneland Chamber's After Hours Club events, Sunrise Seminars, Dawn of Duneland gatherings, Monthly Luncheons and 15 Annual Events, Chamber members are also invited to Chamber Network Night, a business trade show opportunity to network with over 150 business professionals throughout Porter County.
New members are greeted by Chamber Ambassadors, who not only provide guidance about engaging with Chamber events and programming, but will also help with coordinating a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony.
Segmented membership mailing lists are available to members for free the first time requested. Additional labels are available for a minimal fee.
